By signing an agreement to acquire Slovenian company SAG SLO d.o.o., known as Matik and owned by Swiss Automotive Group (SAG), Tokić Group continues its regional expansion
Zagreb / Ljubljana, September 2, 2026 – Tokić Group, a leading regional distributor of automotive parts, tires and workshop equipment, has signed a binding agreement to acquire 100% of the ownership interest in SAG SLO d.o.o., which operates in Slovenia under the Matik brand.
Matik is one of Slovenia’s leading distributors of spare parts for commercial vehicles, trucks and buses. The brand, whose international roots date back to 1969, has been present on the Slovenian market for 30 years and currently operates through business units in Ljubljana, Maribor and Koper. It is currently owned by Swiss Automotive Group (SAG), an international group employing more than 4,000 people and operating across around ten European markets.
According to audited financial data, in 2025 Matik employed 28 people and generated €7.2 million in revenue through wholesale and retail channels. Its customer base includes service workshops, transport companies, automotive parts retailers and end customers. Its product portfolio includes service and spare parts, powertrain components, lubricants, automotive chemicals, consumables and workshop equipment for passenger and commercial vehicles.
The acquisition of Matik represents a complementary expansion of Tokić Group’s business, which, through its Tokić and Bartog companies in Croatia and Slovenia, operates a network of more than 120 locations and has been building a leading position in the automotive parts and tire market for more than 35 years. With this acquisition, the Group will further strengthen its expertise, capabilities and offering in the commercial vehicle segment, which has been one of the fastest-growing areas of its business in recent years.
The transaction is part of the growth strategy presented during Tokić Group’s initial public offering in November 2025, which includes logistics development, expansion of the sales network, technology investments and regional acquisitions. Following the acquisition of Slovenian company Bartog in 2020, whose revenue has since doubled, Matik represents another step in building a strong regional platform connecting the Croatian and Slovenian markets for automotive parts, tires and vehicle maintenance equipment.
Completion of the transaction and transfer of ownership are expected following receipt of all required regulatory approvals, including approval from the relevant competition authority.

“This acquisition is a natural continuation of our growth and presence in the Slovenian market, where we operate through Bartog. We see significant potential in Matik’s business and strong complementarity with our operations, as well as valuable expertise and a high-quality team. We believe that integrating Matik into our Group will further strengthen our position in the regional market.”
Ivan Šantorić, President of the Management Board and CEO of Tokić Group
